Campus Condorcet

This Congress will be co-hosted by EHESS at the new Campus Condorcet (opened 2019). https://www.campus-condorcet.fr/en

The new campus is meant to become an outstanding site where humanities and social sciences will flourish, and which strengthens the position of the EHESS in the academic world, along with that of its 11 co-founding institutions, namely INED, CNRS, FMSH,  EPHE, ENC, University Paris 1 Panthéon Sorbonne, University Sorbonne Nouvelle, University Paris 8, University Paris Nanterre, University Paris Nord). The conference (and the campus) also benefit from its proximity to Maison des Sciences de l’Homme Paris Nord.

The 2022 WEHC will showcase this newly-founded City of Humanities and Social Sciences, meant to develop as a prominent locus of research, both in France and on a global scale. Campus Condorcet is located near one of the Paris airports (Roissy - Charles de Gaulle, CDG) and benefits from dense regional public transport links.

The campus features a major documentary resources center, a conference venue, halls of residence for students and visiting researchers, among many other facilities like the Faculty Club, The Cultural and Associative Centre, the CROUS restaurant The environment of the Campus Condorcet is highly attractive (National Archives, City of Sciences and Industry, Air and Space Museum, City of Cinema).

The City of Sciences and Industry (Universcience) will host a major temporary exhibition on “Industrial Revolutions” (June 2022-March 2023) in which the EHESS is the leading scientific partner.
